My father was raised in an Italian American family from the Bronx, New York. He came from the rough and tumble projects of Castle Hill where he learned the value of hard work and moral fortitude, how to fight the obstacles, overcome the odds and become the best that you can be.
My mother was raised in the Quincy/Braintree area of Massachusetts. Her parents divorced and her childhood was difficult. She had a child at 18, dropped out of school and struggled to make ends meet. Although life was hard and times were tough she found a way to get her GED and put herself through beauty school. My mother taught me the value of imagination and the importance of having dreams. She encouraged me to follow my heart and pursue my passions.
From my parents I learned the lessons of experience, the consequences of choice and the powers of a purposeful life. Now it’s my turn to pass them on through a program called The System of Strength which combines the no-nonsense approach of my father with my mother's belief in the power of dreams and imagination.
There was no roadmap for translating what I knew into what I wanted which was to create a viable and effective program to help kids and families struggling with many of the issues my family did as I was trying to ‘figure it all out’ while my parents were trying to figure me out.
Through trial and error, perseverance, self-discovery and years in the school of life and the halls of academia - as a behavior specialist, a music therapist and mentor to special need kids, the System of Strength was born.
Now I want to show kids how to be the best that they can be and to help parents better understand them, improving communication and building towards a strong and loving relationship.
My passion is to help.
My mission is to make it happen.
My way is The System of Strength.
